​Scope of Practice & Legal Notice

Élevé Aspen provides private-duty and concierge nursing and wellness services that are strictly limited to the scope of practice defined by the Colorado Board of Nursing and any/all applicable federal and state laws.

​

All care provided by Élevé Aspen is nursing in nature - supportive, observational, and non-diagnostic. Services may include post-operative nursing care, medication reminders or administration as prescribed, wellness monitoring, patient education, comfort care, and coordination of care as ordered or authorized by a licensed medical provider.

Élevé Aspen nurses do not diagnose, prescribe, or alter any medical treatment or medication regimen. All medical care, treatment plans, and medication management must originate from a licensed physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant (LIP).

Clients must maintain an ongoing relationship with their own medical provider (such as a primary care physician, surgeon, or specialist), who retains full responsibility for all medical oversight, prescriptions, and treatment decisions. Élevé Aspen's nursing staff act solely under the direction of that provider's written or verbal orders and within the registered nurse's professional scope. of practice.

Élevé Aspen does not replace:

​

• Emergency medical services or urgent care;

• Physician or Surgeon oversight;

• Skilled home health services under Medicare or other insurance

• Physical therapy, occupational therapy, or other licensed allied health disciplines.

 

If a client experiences a medical emergency or develops symptoms outside of the nurse's scope, the nurse will contact 911 or the client's designated physician immediately.
